Lack of educational opportunities for students for free access to higher education [La falta de oportunidades educativas en estudiantes para el libre acceso a la educación superior]

Access to higher education is one of the fundamental pillars for the social and economic development of countries, but it also represents a considerable challenge in terms of equity and social justice. Accordingly, the research objective is to analyse the lack of educational opportunities for students to gain free access to higher education. The structural, economic and technological barriers identified in the studies reviewed highlight the need for profound reforms that promote equity, inclusion and accessibility for all students, especially the most vulnerable. The implementation of educational policies that remove these barriers and strengthen both quality and educational infrastructure is essential to ensure that higher education is not a privilege of the few.
