Abstract

Objective: To analyze the primary stability and bone biology of mini-implants according to applied orthodontic biomechanics. Narrative review. Method: Narrative review. Results: 15 scientific articles were reviewed, which previously passed the inclusion and exclusion criteria, the authors of the reviewed articles agree on the role that good bone density and thickness occupies for the clinical insertion of mini-implants, their permanence and durability in the mouth depend on other factors Conclusion: Primary stability during the insertion of mini-implants is essential to guarantee its permanence and functionality, achieving it depends on various factors, bone density and thickness.
