Objective: To analyse the timing of coffee consumption and its association with mortality from a chrononutrition perspective. Method: Systematic review. Results and conclusion: Coffee, thanks to its bioactive components such as caffeine, antioxidants, diterpenes and chlorogenic acids, offers a wide range of health benefits, particularly for the cardiovascular system, the nervous system and metabolism. These compounds have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that, together, contribute to improving endothelial function, reducing oxidative stress and promoting better control of blood glucose and lipids.
