Abstract

Objective: to analyse depression in university nursing students using a systematic review. Method: systematic review, population of 15 articles. Conclusion: Depression in university nursing students is a complex and multifactorial mental health problem, influenced by intrinsic factors such as academic stress, the emotional burden inherent in clinical training, problematic use of mobile devices and psychological characteristics such as alexithymia and imposter syndrome. Likewise, contextual factors, such as cultural differences and global events, particularly the COVID-19 pandemic, tend to increase its prevalence, highlighting the vulnerability of this population.
