Resumen

Objetivo: analizar el uso de Omecamtiv Mecarbil como alternativa terapéutica emergente en el abordaje de la insuficiencia cardíaca.  Método: revisión bibliográfica de carácter analítico observacional en 16 articulos científicos. Resultados y Conclusión: Omecamtiv Mecarbil ha demostrado ser eficaz en mejorar la contractilidad miocárdica sin aumentar significativamente el consumo de oxígeno, lo que lo posiciona como una alternativa innovadora frente a los fármacos inotrópicos tradicionales, que a menudo conllevan efectos adversos relacionados con el aumento de la demanda de oxígeno del miocardio.
