Abstract

Objective: To analyze the current behavior of infertility in humans to improve the quality of life of families. Method: A descriptive bibliographic review was conducted through documentary analysis of scientific sources related to diagnosis, etiology and treatment of human infertility. Results: It was identified that infertility affects approximately 10% of the world's population, with variable incidence between regions. Male factors represent 20% of cases, while 50% involve combined factors. Main causes include ovulatory disorders, tubal factors, endometriosis and sperm problems. Treatments range from medications to assisted reproductive techniques. Conclusions: Infertility requires a personalized approach considering specific factors such as age, health status and particularities of the reproductive system. Genomics and specific biomarkers represent promising fields for future therapies.
