Objective: to analyse the use of laser technology to improve apical sealing in complex endodontic treatments. Method: systematic review of 15 scientific articles. Results and Conclusion: The use of laser technology in endodontics has the capacity to optimise the preparation of the root canal system by effectively eliminating residues, smear layer and microorganisms in areas of difficult access, which favours a better adaptation of the obturation materials to the canal walls. Likewise, the laser helps to reduce the formation of voids in the filling, improving apical tightness and reducing the risk of reinfection.
