Objective: to analyse the erosive factors that affect the teeth. Method: systematic review of 15 scientific articles in the population. Results and Conclusion: Dental erosion is a pathological process with a multifactorial aetiology, determined by the interaction of chemical, biological and behavioural factors that contribute to the progressive loss of dental hard tissues. The evidence analysed indicates the relevance of early identification of risk factors, such as exposure to acidic substances, the structural susceptibility of enamel and oral hygiene practices, for the implementation of evidence-based preventive strategies.
