Objective: to analyse the use of Cinacalcet for the treatment of secondary hyperparathyroidism. Method: Systematic review. Results and conclusion: Cinacalcet is an effective and safe therapeutic intervention for the management of secondary hyperparathyroidism in patients with chronic kidney disease on haemodialysis, as it modulates parathyroid hormone levels, reduces bone and cardiovascular complications, and offers a non-invasive alternative to parathyroidectomy. Advances in its synthesis through more sustainable processes and the application of tools such as machine learning have optimised its clinical evaluation and availability.
