Objective: to analyse uterine fibroids. Method: Systematic review. Results and conclusion: Uterine fibroids represent a prevalent gynaecological condition with a significant impact on the quality of life of women, especially those of reproductive age. Recent advances in the diagnosis, management and understanding of their aetiology have allowed for the development of more personalised and less invasive strategies, improving clinical outcomes and the quality of life of patients. However, challenges persist related to the heterogeneity of fibroids, the choice of optimal treatment and disparities in access to medical care.
