Abstract

Objective: to analyse the role of nursing staff in the event of phosphorus organ toxicity. Method: Systematic review of 15 scientific articles. Results and conclusion: Rapid and protocolised action in the first hours after the poisoning, the adequate administration of antidotes, neurological monitoring by means of pupillometry and standardised scales, as well as the prevention of respiratory complications, are determining factors in the prognosis of these patients.
