Objective: to describe the most commonly used methods for the diagnosis of breast cancer based on a systematic review. Method: Systematic review of 15 scientific articles. Results and Conclusion: The most commonly used methods for the diagnosis of breast cancer include mammography, which remains the gold standard due to its high efficacy and availability, and ultrasound, which is particularly indicated in young women with dense breast tissue.
