Objective: to analyze the risk factors of periodontal diseases Method: systematic population-based review of 15 scientific articles. Results and Conclusion: Periodontal diseases represent a significant health problem due to their high prevalence, their impact on patients' quality of life and their relationship with various systemic conditions, such as diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, neurodegenerative diseases and pregnancy complications.
