Abstract

Objective: to analyze forensic dentistry in Latin America. Method: systematic population-based review of 15 scientific articles. Results and Conclusion: Forensic dentistry in Latin America is a developing discipline that has proven to be fundamental in the identification of victims in contexts of violence, natural disasters and migration. Although progress has been made in the incorporation of forensic aspects in academic training and in the exploration of innovative technologies such as computer vision and 3D imaging, important limitations persist.
