Abstract

Objective: to carry out a comparative study of composite veneers versus ceramic veneers. Method: systematic population-based review of 15 scientific articles. Results and Conclusion: The comparative analysis between composite and ceramic veneers shows that both materials have specific advantages and limitations that make them suitable for different clinical contexts. Ceramic veneers stand out for their higher wear resistance, color stability, fracture load, clinical durability and superior esthetics, making them the preferred choice for permanent restorations in patients with high functional and esthetic demands.
