Pediatric patients and their relation to dental anesthesia [Pacientes pediátricos y su relación con la anestesia dental]

Objective: to describe the care of pediatric patients and its relationship with dental anesthesia. Method: systematic population review of 15 scientific articles. Results and Conclusion: Anesthesia, in its different modalities (local, sedation or general), not only allows the management of cases of anxiety, lack of cooperation or complex procedures, but is also indispensable in patients with special needs or underlying medical conditions, trends are evident such as the increase in the use of general anesthesia for comprehensive procedures and the need to strengthen educational and follow-up strategies to guarantee the continuity of dental care.
