Resumen

Objetivo: analizar los modelos de yeso con conservación de la estructura gingival: Modelo analógico vs modelo digital. Método: revisión sistemática en población de 19 articulos científicos. Resultados y Conclusión: Los resultados revelan que los modelos analógicos ofrecen alta fidelidad en la reproducción de tejidos blandos, especialmente en situaciones clínicas complejas, mientras que los modelos digitales destacan por su eficiencia y versatilidad, aunque presentan limitaciones en la captura detallada de áreas subgingivales. La evidencia sugiere que la selección entre ambas metodologías debe considerar la complejidad del caso, requerimientos estéticos y recursos disponibles. Se concluye que un enfoque híbrido que integre las fortalezas de ambos sistemas podría representar el futuro de la odontología restauradora para optimizar la preservación de estructuras gingivales.
