Abstract

Objective: to develop a comparative analysis of the durability of endodontic files made of different materials. Method: systematic review of 15 scientific articles. Results and Conclusion: The durability of endodontic files is influenced by a combination of factors, including the material of manufacture, the design of the instrument, clinical conditions and the experience of the operator. Nickel-titanium (Ni-Ti) files have proven to be superior in terms of flexibility and resistance to cyclic fatigue, especially in curved canals, although their performance can be affected by prolonged use and chemical agents such as sodium hypochlorite.
