Resumen

Objetivo: analizar el manejo quirúrgico y no quirúrgico de la hiperparatiroidismo secundario y primario. Método: Revisión sistemática. Resultados y conclusión: El manejo del hiperparatiroidismo, tanto primario como secundario, debe basarse en una evaluación integral y personalizada que considere la gravedad de la enfermedad, las comorbilidades del paciente y las opciones terapéuticas disponibles. La paratiroidectomía se consolida como una intervención eficaz en casos graves, al ofrecer beneficios significativos en el control metabólico y la prevención de complicaciones, aunque las estrategias no quirúrgicas, como el uso de cinacalcet, representan alternativas viables en pacientes no aptos para cirugía, los avances tecnológicos, como la ablación por microondas y las técnicas quirúrgicas mejoradas, prometen optimizar los resultados clínicos.
