Factores limitantes para el conocimiento del examen de Papanicolaou en las mujeres de edad fértil [Limiting factors for knowledge of the Pap smear among women of childbearing age]

Objetivo: analizar los factores limitantes para el conocimiento del examen de Papanicolaou en las mujeres de edad fértil. Método: descriptivo observacional en 35 estudiantes. Resultados y Conclusión: Un resultado a considerar es que, aunque el 62.9% de las mujeres se había sometido al PAP test, un 37.1% nunca lo había hecho, citando la falta de tiempo y la vergüenza como principales barreras, esto indica que, además del desconocimiento, existen otros factores que influyen en la decisión de no realizarse el examen.
