Focus and scope

Definition of the journal: Cuaderno de odontología. Revista científica, is a bilingual scientific journal (Spanish - English), belonging to the Instituto de Investigación Multidisciplinaria Perspectivas Globales (IIMPG), of international character with headquarters in Portoviejo - Ecuador, with a four-monthly periodicity (ordinary issues), following the following order: January - April. May - August. September - December, publishing within the indicated period.

Its objective is to disseminate open science from a multidisciplinary approach in health sciences, through the publication of refereed articles of high scientific and methodological value. Its thematic coverage is in the areas of: Dentistry, preventive oral health and health promotion, restorative and aesthetic dentistry, orthodontics and dentofacial orthopaedics, oral implantology, periodontics, endodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, digital dentistry, oral health and systemic diseases.

It is aimed at an audience of academic-scientific researchers, undergraduate and postgraduate university students.

It is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that publishes original research articles in Spanish and English that must have been carried out with the strictest epistemological and methodological rigour in order to contribute to scientific growth.

It is governed by the Vancouver publication standards.

Cuaderno de odontología. Revista científica, adheres to open access policies, following the guidelines of the following declarations: Budapest (BOAI, 2002), Berlin (2003) and Bethesda (2003).
