Articles must be original and unpublished. For the arbitration of these, Cuaderno de enfermería. Revista científica, uses double-blind peer review, where the reviewers do not know the identity of the authors of the articles, and the authors do not know the identity of the reviewers. The reviewers are external to the publishing house.

With the aim of promoting greater reliability in the evaluation, the arbiters will preferably be from different countries and institutions, promoting a greater diversity of opinion.

If the arbitral decision is uneven, a third arbiter will be sent with the aim of achieving a balanced decision on the evaluated article.
