Definition of the journal: Cuaderno de enfermería. Journal: a bilingual (Spanish-English) scientific journal belonging to the Instituto de Investigación Multidisciplinaria Perspectivas Globales (IIMPG), an international organisation based in Portoviejo, Ecuador, published four times a year (ordinary issues) in the following order: January-April, May-August, September-December.
Its objective is to disseminate open science from a multidisciplinary approach in health sciences, through the publication of peer-reviewed articles of high scientific and methodological value. Its thematic coverage includes the areas of: Nursing, Bioethics, Nursing Research, Clinical Practice in Nursing, Management and Leadership in Nursing, Nursing Education, Public Health and Community Nursing, Innovation and Technologies in Nursing.
Aimed at the public made up of academic researchers - scientists, undergraduate and postgraduate university students.
It is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that publishes original research articles in Spanish and English that must have been carried out with the strictest epistemological and methodological rigour to contribute to scientific growth.
It is governed by the Vancouver publication standards.
Cuaderno de enfermería. Revista científica, adheres to open access policies, following the guidelines of the following declarations: Budapest (BOAI, 2002), Berlin (2003) and Bethesda (2003).
Quarterly (Ordinary Issues), in the following order: January - April. May - August. September - December, publishing within the indicated period.
We accept proposals of empirical rigour (research), review, reflection, and letters to the editor; committed to the critical discussion of the research field - methodological, social, debating topics of interest and controversy, and which can be presented from different research approaches, as long as the epistemological - methodical rigour of each one is maintained. Of great interest to the journal.
Articles are published under the Creative Commons 4.0 Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 licence.
Once the editorial audit has been approved, the articles are sent to the reviewers, under the double-blind or anonymous peer-review system, which guarantees that there is no conflict of interest between the parties, prioritising the transparency and impartiality of the process.
