Abstract

Objective: to analyze the factors influencing Burnout Syndrome in nurses. Method: systematic review, population of 15 articles. Conclusion: The factors influencing burnout syndrome in nurses reveal that this phenomenon is the product of a complex interaction between work overload, emotional stress and an unfavorable organizational environment. Long working hours, lack of resources and the management of emotionally demanding situations, such as bereavement, aggravate the physical and mental exhaustion of nurses, especially in critical areas such as ICU and pediatric oncology. In addition, the COVID-19 pandemic increased these conditions, increasing job dissatisfaction and the intention to leave the profession.
