Systematic violation of labour rights: The Furukawa case and its impact on fundamental rights [Violación sistemática de derechos humanos laborales: Caso Furukawa y repercusión en derechos fundamentales]

Objective: To analyze the systematic violation of labor human rights in the Furukawa case and its impact on the regression of fundamental rights in Ecuador. Methodology: A systematic review was conducted following the PRISMA protocol, analyzing 106 documentary sources from specialized databases, applying temporal inclusion criteria of 10 years and scientific relevance through SJR impact factor. Results: The case evidences labor exploitation of workers for more than five decades, systematically violating fundamental rights such as decent work, social security, health, adequate housing, and personal integrity. The state response was delayed and insufficient, evidencing structural failures in the justice system and labor control mechanisms. Conclusions: The Furukawa case represents an alarming regression in the protection of fundamental rights, revealing the urgent need to reform the judicial system and strengthen labor supervision mechanisms to prevent future systematic violations of human rights in the workplace.
